Heat 2 cups of soya milk with 2 cups of water until the mixture is warm to the touch. Place your feet in a large bowl and pour over the liquid. Sprinkle in 1 cup of porridge oats. Rub the oats over your feet, then wait for 10 minutes as the moisturising milk soaks in, remove feet and dry thoroughly.
To turn this treatment into a mini, at home pedicure, moisturise, cut toenails straight across and file to remove any sharp edges. Cuticles can be pushed back with an orange stick with some cotton wool around the end, you can also use this to clean under the nail plate. Before painting, wipe over nail plate with cotton wool soaked in nail varnish remover to remove moisturiser, apply base coat, 2 coats of your favourite polish and a top coat to finish.
To make nail paint last longer, apply another layer of top coat once a week, this will make the polish look shiny and new again.
Wow where did you discover that?! Next time I'm home alone I'll do that, I do love a pamper!
ReplyDeleteI have a close friend who is a Beauty Therapist! I did forget to say about olive oil on your cuticles, or have I said that in a previous post? - I am losing track!
